Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player in history to appear in five Euros finals, adding to the record for most goals scored in the final of the tournament.

The game where Portugal, the reigning champions, open the head of Euro 2020 against Hungary, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is named to start wearing the captain’s armband on the field. That makes this a fifth time at the Euros, following 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. 

Ronaldo’s two goals scored in the 3-0 win over Hungary also boosted the Juventus forward’s record as the top scorer in the history of the European Championships with a total of 11 goals. Breaking the record of Michel Platini, the legendary French national team, who has scored 9 goals.

However, the 36-year-old captain of the team continues to set a record for more goals scored. Because in the Euro 2020 battle, Ronaldo just started counting 1 with the Portuguese national team only.
